The Farseer Pick and Founder's Pickaxe auto-detect ore and minerals when equipped.
- As of live launch (June 2016) all picks can be used to mine all ore and gems.
- This is because the concept of tier (common in some games) and item progression was largely dropped in favor of allowing player choice, based on specific benefits.
- Likewise, the random stats (RNG) seen in closed beta was also dropped in favor of player choice.
- This pick has benefits similar to that of the Founder's Pickaxe, though the Founder's can mind and chop trees.
